Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the app?

Add one or more videos from Photos or Files, drag the timeline handles to select the segment you want to keep, choose a frame as the Live Photo cover, then generate and save it to your library. You can also share a video from another app’s share sheet directly into VideoToLive.

Will my videos be uploaded?

No. All video processing happens locally on your device and your videos are never uploaded. The app contains no ads and no third-party SDKs, so nothing leaves your device at all.

What is a Live Photo?

A Live Photo is Apple’s format that pairs a still image with a short video. VideoToLive packages your selected clip into this format so you can set it as a Live wallpaper, share it, or keep it as a moving memory.

What do I get for free, and what needs Pro?

Standard quality (long edge 480px, SDR) is free and unlimited. Pro — available with a free 3-day trial that renews as a 3-month subscription, or as a one-time lifetime unlock — adds original quality (original resolution with HDR preserved, no re-encoding), trimming, cover-frame selection, and wallpaper framing. There are no ads.

I bought Pro but it shows as locked. What now?

Open Settings inside the app, tap the original-quality option to bring up the purchase screen, then tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase. If you have an active subscription, you can also manage or cancel it there. The 3-day trial is for new subscribers only and converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before it ends.

A conversion failed. What can I do?

Open Settings inside the app and use Export diagnostic log to share the log with us. It records the quality setting and failure reason only, never your video content.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
